Although allowing comments helps bloggers to spot out new topic opportunities and even rank for new keywords, yet there are some folks scattered on web who for so many reasons such as lack of think skin for criticism from their audience, too lazy for moderating spam comments etc want to disable the comment section from their blog posts.
Now, whatever your reason may be, here is the easiest, in fact the most simple way to disable comments in your WordPress blog Posts:
1. Click on All Posts
Assuming that you already have logged in your WordPress dashboard, hover your cursor and click on “All Posts” section that could be seen in the upper left side of your dashboard.
2. Select the Title
Now, you have all posts displayed downwards in a list, select the Title of the concerned post you want to disallow comments for or if you want to disable for many posts, you could choose the title that is above all posts on the left side.
3. Select Quick Edit Section
Now, after selecting the title of the concerned article, you’ll get to see the Quick Edit option just beneath the target post, click on it. Now, you will see the Tags option on the right side and under it, there are two options – Disallow Comments and Disallow Pings, choose the former and hence the comment box will turn automatically off. View the post to verify the result of your action.
In case you want to put off the comment box for bulk posts, select the Title that lies just above all posts, then select the Edit option and then you will witness three options under Tags option – Author, Comments and Status. Choose the comments option and then select the disallow option to make comment box inactive on your WordPress blog Posts.
