The two ways outlined to install a theme are as:
Go to appearance section in your left side of your dashboard. Hover your mouse cursor over it and click on themes. You will be taken to your installed themes. See add new button and click it. You will be routed to theme marketplace as there are thousands of themes aviable for your choice.
See a search box right above side. Type down your theme name and you will be be shown your theme provided it is available. Remember, you access just free themes not premium ones. You will have to buy premium themes from third party theme developers.
Now you have decided on a free theme, click on install button and follow it by clicking activate button, and you are done.
The second way out to install a theme is by download a theme from theme provider’s website. Saving it in your computer, and extracting all unnecessary elements.
Next you should click Add New theme button. A new window will open to upload your theme from your computer. Select your theme and allow its installation which might take a couple of minutes. Your theme will showup in your themes dashboard. Just activate it and you’re done.
Theme installation and activation are not sufficient. You should also customize your new activated theme as well. Customisation of your themes allows you choose your colours, upload your logo in your header section, select a particular type of font for your text and so many other features.
In conclusion, make sure you removed footer credit links of your theme providers. If it is impossible to get rid of footer links in free themes, don’t worry there is way to remove them once for ever.
All you need to do is to open your theme’s CSS theme file, look for footer link codes and remove or replace them with your own codes. Removing footer credits in premium themes is easy and can be done without having you to play with theme codes.
