The waste recycling business is profitable and pays off quickly, but it is also troublesome.
The problem of recycling car tires remains unsolved as global trends to protect the environment develop in our country and around the world. The number of cars on the road is increasing, and city landfills are refusing to accept transport tires. Only 20% of tires are recycled around the world today. You can make a lot of money recycling with enough start-up capital while also maintaining a normal ecological situation for future generations.
Because one tonne of tires can produce 650 kg of rubber, which is widely used in construction, industry, and serves as a recyclable material for the production of fuel, the tire recycling cycle is practically waste-free. If the same number of tires are burned, about 400 kg of toxic gas and 300 kg of soot will be released into the atmosphere.
Equipment
A tire recycling mini-factory should be built in a public space. It has overall dimensions of 5 by 3.5 meters and a height of 5-7 meters. It is made up of a receiving hopper, a conveyor, a high-temperature furnace-reactor, grinding and screening systems, a cleaning plant, and decay product containers. It is possible to process up to 5 tonnes of raw materials per day.
The line can run continuously because the gas released when the tires melt in the reactor at temperatures above 450 degrees Celsius can be used. After passing through the purification system, only a small portion of the gas emissions is released into the atmosphere. There are no harmful substances present, and the levels are within acceptable limits.
The products of processing at the output, in addition to gas, are liquid fuel and carbon-containing residue. After cooling and screening, a steel cord wire is separated from the latter. The finished ingredients are sent out to be sold.
The installation cost is $35,000, not including transportation and installation. Tanks must be purchased in order to store fuel oil. You will have to pay 600-630 USD for a used container with a 60-ton capacity. Five pieces will suffice.
Space requirements
Aside from the recycling chamber-reactor itself, space is required for a warehouse for old tires and a place to store rubber, a cutting site for tires, and warehouses for other recycled products such as liquid fuel, carbon black, and scrap metal.
Staffing
Personnel are required to service the mini-factory: two workers to service the recycling plant, which operates on a two-shift basis, and two more employees with similar qualifications. Two managers are required: one for raw material purchases (preferably with their own trucks), and the other for the sale of processed products. An incoming accountant is also required.
Costs
Hand tools, warehouse equipment, and workwear will cost an additional $ 3-4,000. Additional $ 15-18,000 for installation and delivery of equipment, permits and coordination with local authorities, and rent.

Income
One of the biggest advantages of the tire recycling business is that the raw materials used in the purchase are completely free. Furthermore, some industries are charged a recycling fee. The cost of this fee varies by region and city; in some areas, it costs $60 per tonne, while in others, it costs $100 or more. The price is individually negotiated and fixed in the contract; in fact, you can already make money by collecting tires.
Income from the sale of decay products: $ 125 per tonne of scrap metal, $ 90 per tonne of carbon actively used in the manufacture of coatings, and $ 90 per tonne of fuel oil. The monthly income from a full load of the line can reach 12 thousand dollars, while the monthly cost of servicing the business ranges from 3,500 to 4,000 dollars. The total net profit is around $8,000 USD.
