Rashmi Daga, founder, and CEO of FreshMenu, was given ” ET-Facebook Woman Ahead ” award during ET Startup Awards 2018 ” held by Economic Times in Bangalore, Karnataka yesterday.
Rashmi is the women behind FreshMenu, a delicious food startup that offers a daily changing menu with recipes from around the world. FreshMenu receives around five lac orders on a monthly basis and gets 80% business from its repeat customers.
With fifty-four employees presently, FreshMenu is operational in three smart cities of India viz Bangalore, Mumbai, and Delhi.
Mrs. Rashmi, when she asked what propelled her to launch her startup, replied in a gentle manner and said her love for cooking is the main motive that has to lead her to found FreshMenu. In another question that reads what are your suggestions to the potential women entrepreneurs in the audience to which Mrs. Daga replied see we have a lot to lose if women keep worrying and if we stop that, we have some chance of winning.
Day in day out, we keep on seeing many Indian women entrepreneurs making a mark in different sectors. This is, off course, one of the great moves towards encouraging and empowering women in our country.
Meanwhile, OYO Rooms, a hospitality service providing company, has bagged up ” Startup of the Year ” award while as Subrata Mitra, Flipkart’s first investor, received Midas Touch award for being the best investor in ET Startup Awards 2018.
